Roles & Responsibilities-

Responsible for overseeing and leading a team of software engineers. This involves setting clear goals and objectives, providing guidance and mentorship, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.

  • This includes making decisions about technology stack, architecture, development methodologies, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business goals.
  • This involves planning, resource allocation, tracking progress, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for attracting and hiring top engineering talent. They also play a crucial role in developing and retaining existing team members through performance evaluations, career development plans, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate technical constraints, and ensure smooth coordination and alignment across teams.
  • Responsible for promoting technical excellence within the engineering team. This involves establishing and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes. They also encourage innovation, research emerging technologies, and promote continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Manages technical risks associated with software development projects. They work proactively to mitigate risks and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of software systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies is an essential responsibility of a Director of Engineering. This helps them make informed decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive innovation within the organization.

Requirements-

  • 6+ years of experience in the industryExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Good time management and project management skills
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
